Was searching around and found there are some landlords in NYC that do rent studio apartments off the record; there is some hope. The door of starting over might not be so sealed after all. Also found contrary to popular belief, it’s cheaper to live in Brooklyn or Queens than it is in Newport News. NOW I feel ripped off.
