Water pipes bursted from the extreme cold.

The biggest problem with housing in New York City is its crumbling infrastructure. No matter how modern the home may look, it likely has many underlying problems. Many buildings are in such bad disrepair from age and generational neglect and cutting corners from landlords and slumlords, that they constantly need fixing.

After many days of temperatures below freezing, today, my building’s water line finally broke from the extreme cold. Luckily our water wasn’t turned off for long but we have no heat though.
