Bottom line … the movie sucked. Not to tell the storyline or anything but a lot of it was unbelievable mostly. What made me not like it so much is that it tried to cover something that takes hundreds of thousands of years if not millions or billions, to cause happen in a matter of a week. And second is that the father/scientist in the movie performs impossible feats and what ties for third and fourth is that it started digging up dirt about American and Mexican political issues and the whole Love the Earth theme. While I am one of those save the Earth type of people, I don’t want to see a movie about it. I thought the movie was about the end of the world but it seemed most of the dying happened in the United States. Ironically our President dies.
The movie is basically about the pollution from all over the world kicking us in the ass and changing the temperature of the water which causes a worldwide new ice age for the Northern hemisphere. THat takes thousands of years, if there is any truth to it, and would not happen in a week. And then the father wants to save his son hikes (on foot in blzzard and Antarctica temperatures) from Washington D.C. to New York City … yeah. that is totally believable (eye roll). I give the movie a “C” for “crap”.
