As you all can see, I’ve been working quite a bit on my site. It is still going to take me weeks to get it all back up but oh well … who cares. The real task is going to be getting my blog posts from 2004 back up … or maybe I should just forget it … it’s a lot of stuff. Really Blogger should come up with a way to re-upload posts that you’ve saved to disk … it would make my life a whole lot easier. Of course I could always save my blog on their servers but I have come not to trust anyone with my data; they don’t give a damn about your stuff. All they can say is “oops sorry” but you are shit out of luck. So I upload my blog to my free web space from my ISP and I keep all my data on disk backed up to my Zip 100 drive. Yes people … I still use one of those old things. I’ve had mine for 6 years now although its not the original. The first one I had I dropped and killed it. I called Iomega about it and even after it had long went out of warranty AND I had bought it from Gateway and not them, Iomega replaced it with a brand-spanking new REFURB!! But this refurb has been working for 3 years now. Now THAT’s what I call customer service. Can’t find much of that anymore but when this Zip dies or if my data gets too big to put it on Zips, I will definately buy from Iomega again.
But surely, now since I’ve bragged about it, I’ve probably just signed its last rights.
