I gave it a long hard thought if I should buy a new car or just drop the B16 in the CRX … sadly each has their own pros and cons. First of all, I don’t like monthly payments so that is why I am so reluctant of buying a new card … and second, to be honest, I really did not like the new Civic. Yeah. I think it sucked really. No power windows … no power doors, no sunroof, no nothing, it was short and simple, just “a car”. Only 115hp keeps eating me up and I think if I bought it, I would only be happy that it’s a Honda but not on the perks I get with the car. I think the DX is a disappointment and way below what people expect from Honda. It seems the only way you’re gonna have fun is if I upggrade to an EX which has all the fun stuff. But really I can’t see myself even putting my money towards that because that is in the $19 range and up, more up than not, and still it’s only 137hp. Damn, Ford Focus starts at 134hp and is only around $12 so is there really any gain?
I think all roads point to upgrading the CRX. It would be cheaper and well worth the power in the long run. The engine would have around 30-50k on it so it would be practically new. THere would be no monthly payments and I would have a kickass 160hp which would run circles around the DX, HX, LX and EX put together.
I’m still going to give it more thought but it looks like I should just drop another engine in the Rex.
