White House spokesman Jay Carney told reporters in Washington: “We continue to be committed to closing that facility, in our national security interest.”

Well, I’m “committed” to becoming a millionaire by the end of the year, it doesn’t mean it’s going to fookin happen. It makes no sense to me how our government seems to be untouchable even when it’s wrong, and not just wrong, but internationally, morally and ethically wrong. You don’t keep human beings locked up indefinitely like dogs. If you haven’t found anything on them by now, chances are they are innocent or you suck too bad to find anything on them and you cannot just detain people because you feel like it or you have a “hunch”.  If their own countries don’t want them back because you screwed up their relationship with it, then it is our government’s responsibility to find a place that will.  There is 196,939,900 square miles on planet Earth; find a spot and put them on it.

Our government is wrong. Our president is wrong. As American people there must be something we can do to shut down Guantanamo because it is obvious that our government never will.
